Your answers to those questions will be sent directly to our Homeownership staff, who will reply to you directly via email to discuss the next steps.

SEV Habitat home qualifications are based on:

Need: Substandard living conditions

Ability to pay an affordable mortgage

Willingness to partner and build their own home

Here is a simple checklist to get you started:

Must live or work in our service area for 1 year- New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Samsula, Osteen.
You qualify as a first-time home buyer (have not owned a home in 3 years)
Have stable and verifiable income from a reliable source for a minimum of 1 year.
Willing to complete a minimum of 350 sweat equity hours working with SEV Habitat volunteers.
Current housing is- inadequate, overcrowded, transitional, government subsidized, or unaffordable.
